Bonded Magnets

Bonded magnets
Bonded magnets are a distinctive class of magnetic materials created by combining magnetic powder with a binding agent. This mixture is precisely molded under controlled pressure and then cured at temperatures between 150 and 175°C. The shape and dimensions of the resulting magnets are determined by the mold, allowing for one-step production without the need for secondary machining. These magnets offer several key benefits, including excellent magnetic performance, precise dimensional accuracy, versatility in shaping, outstanding resistance to corrosion, a variety of magnetization options, and suitability for mass production, which ensures high manufacturing efficiency.

The primary application domain for bonded magnets is in miniature electric motors, including a wide variety of motor types such as spindle motors, stepper motors, synchronous motors, DC motors, and brushless DC motors. Notably, they can effectively act as partial substitutes for sintered NdFeB and ferrite magnets, streamlining the motor assembly process, enhancing reliability, reducing overall production costs, and optimizing efficiency across a range of applications.
